Success Measured by Lives Touched
Why Impact Matters
A Philosophy Rooted in Service
Long before there was a business to run or any recognition to speak of, Dev Raturi was shaped by values that came embedded in the Himalayan communities he grew up in — service, responsibility, community, respect. None of these were taught in a workshop. They were simply how the village worked.
Those same principles still guide every project and partnership he takes on today. The goal has never been simply to build a successful venture and move on. It's been to build platforms — restaurants, festivals, foundations — that generate genuine, positive outcomes for the people who pass through them.
Empowering the Next Generation
Investing in Young Minds
Children represent the longest possible timeline for impact — invest in them, and the return compounds for an entire generation rather than a single year. Through wellness programmes, educational outreach, and youth-focused initiatives, thousands of young people have been introduced to values that support healthier, more confident, more balanced lives — with at least as much emphasis on character and discipline as on any specific skill. The yoga outreach programmes alone have reached approximately 3,000 children across multiple schools.
"The greatest investment any society can make is in its children."
Supporting Communities
Small Actions. Lasting Impact.
Giving Back to
the Land That Shaped Him.
Through the Raturi Foundation, Dev Raturi has adopted two villages in Tehri for rural development, organised employment camps connecting hundreds of villagers with government schemes, and funded school infrastructure across the region he left as a teenager. More than 3,000 children have been reached through wellness and education initiatives across India and abroad. For him, the Foundation is not philanthropy as an afterthought — it is the reason the rest of the work matters.

Pandemic Leadership
When borders closed, he kept a small network of Indian families fed, housed, and informed until flights resumed.

02
Village Development
A share of every year's earnings goes back to his home village — roads, classrooms, and small repairs that add up.
-
03
Employment Generation
Eleven kitchens mean hundreds of livelihoods, many for people new to the city and new to the industry.

04
Youth Inspiration
Talks at schools and colleges built around one plain fact: he started with less than most of the students listening.

05
Prison Motivation
Occasional sessions inside correctional facilities, offered without cameras and without an agenda.

Community Outreach
An informal help desk for newly arrived Indians in China — paperwork, translation, a place to ask questions.
Two Decades In, the Mission Hasn't Changed — Only the Scale Has
What started as one man trying to do his job a little better than expected has, over twenty years, become a measurable force in two countries' worth of communities. The work continues, and there's room in it for more partners.
